Hey guys! I’ve had people ask who does my hair and how I keep it looking so blonde. Well partially because my hair stylist Rachel (@allthingsblush) is a rock star and the other is the products I use.
I’ve been coloring my hair since middle school and have always had trouble keeping that “fresh blonde” look. I have used about every purple shampoo under the sun to revamp my blonde (right now I use Surface Pure Blonde / $24) but I have really noticed that Aveda Color guard shampoo and conditioner have made a world of difference. It maintains my color and leaves my hair feeling smooth. I promise you the shampoo you use, especially if you have color treated hair like mine, does matter and it worth the investment!
I’m going to quickly cover my skincare routine because this is something I think is very important. My mom has always said make sure to take care of your skin while you’re young- and I totally believe her! (Because she looks amazing)
First is my daily cleanser, nothing crazy or expensive but it’s a killa combo-
First Aid Beauty Cleanser (under $20)
Foreo Luna brush (around $120 – rechargeable) – an investment but worth it!
Another thing that I finally broke down and bought is an exfoliant. Call me crazy, but I never really used one. I would try out cleansers that I had them in it and was using it daily (cringe worthy, I know). Now I use this Aveda one and I’m never goin back!
Something I’ve been insecure about for a long time is eczema on my face. I’ve battled it for a long time and tried so many different creams to try and help. My dermatologist even said “this is something you have to live with” which really pissed me off. It wasn’t until I got my first facial and purchased the Aveda tulasāra™ line that I noticed a world of difference.
Reduces the look of redness and irritation over time. I use every morning and every night for the best results.
I also have always had a lot of freckles, which get more obvious in the summer time and when I spend a lot of time in the sun. I have learned to embrace them because I got sick of trying to cover them up completely by a foundation. The tulasāra™ bright concentrate is something I use to lighten them though to get a more even skin tone.
Restores radiance and visibly evens skin tone and reduces discoloration. I also use this every morning and night before my moisturizer.
Last but not LEAST is a good moisturizer. Feed your skin babies! This intense hydrating cream is perfect for my extremely dry skin and a little goes a long way making it worth the price tag!
If you’re a Bryan/College Station local I highly recommend Alberts Hair Salon! They’re family owned with talented stylists and a wide selection of products. I purchase my Aveda from them and now I am hooked!
