Well, another early 2000’s trend is back and we’re loving it! Smocking is being seen on tops, dresses, and even swimsuits.
So what is it? Smock is a loose dress or blouse, with the upper part closely gathered in smocking….yes I did look up this definition😝
Still confused? Here is what it looks like! (Wishing you didn’t throw out that old top huh?)
I fell in love with this look as soon as I saw it, but Lauren on the other hand….not so much! This top is from Goodnight Macaroon, but they are sold on almost every website! I will link some of my favorites with a wide variety of price ranges so there is a top for everyone! ☺ Not everyone is jumping on this trend immediately, but it seems to grow on people, just like Lauren!
This style is so flattering on any body type and gives every outfit a little more character! This white top is one of my favorites for going to eat with friends, a family event, or any other adventure that requires an outfit that is cute and can still pass as casual!
Lauren is in a two-piece set she got from one of those Facebook Ads that you are trapped into clicking on…Then you think “this is too cheap there’s no way it’s going to be decent quality or fit right” haha but this one was actually a score!
We paired it with a necklace from one of our favorite handmade jewelry company’s Gold Clover. If you like dainty and natural stone jewelry at an affordable price definitely check out their latest collection here.
Paired with my Mesa Wraparound Espadrille Sandals and I’m in love!
As always thanks for stopping by and let us know – should this trend stay or should it go?
